Writing In Public

Hello friends,

In case you missed it, last week I announced that I'm writing a new book on ADHD (tentatively titled Refocus).

The response was amazing! Thank you everyone for the encouraging words, for providing suggestions and feedback, and for sharing the word.

I truly appreciate it. ๐Ÿ’™

In the spirit of building in public, here are a few stats since the announcement:

  • I have just about 5,000 words written so far (my goal is 2,000/week so I'm slightly ahead ๐Ÿ’ช) โ€‹
  • 73 people have joined the waitlist โ€‹
  • I received 14 new suggestions/ideas for the book (most of which are now live on the site!)

For more information, check out refocusbook.com where you can join the waitlist and see a preview of the current table of contents.

๐Ÿ“

Don't worry, this newsletter isn't just going to become a newsletter about the book!

I'll only share occasionally along the way when it makes sense.

I'm just excited right now. ๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks for joining me on this journey, if you have any feedback for what you would like to see more of in Extra Focus, just reply to this email and let me know!

Stay focused,

Jesse J. Anderson

๐Ÿ“ˆ๐ŸŽ™ Shutting Down and Opening Up - Software Social (59m) I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Michele Hansen and Marie Poulin about running a business and being a founder with ADHD.

๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŽ™ Using ADHD To Fuel Creativity & Find Connections (9m) Recently, I had a wonderful chat with my friend Evielyn on Creative Conversations. We talked about how the brain's desire for interest/novelty can fuel creativity and the changing attitude toward talking about mental health in public.
